EPA Receives Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry's Health Consultation for West Lake Landfill; Report Shows No Public Health Risk for St. Louis
Environmental News FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Lenexa, Kan., Oct. 16, 2015) - A health consultation conducted by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a part of the U.S. Health and Human Services, shows that groundwater, air, and soil data do not indicate a health risk to communities surrounding the West Lake Landfill. EPA Region 7 had asked ATSDR to determine if radiological contamination buried at the West Lake Landfill poses any harm to human health
