COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and the United States Department of Energy (DOE) today announced an agreement on the process for treatment of more than 36 million gallons of radioactive and toxic liquid waste in aging tanks at the Savannah River Site (SRS).
